How to Make a Goddess' Tip Jar
The cat is probably in my humble and Duality Review biased opinion at least one of Gods most beautiful creatures. They bring so much joy and love to their human companions in exchange for just a little of the same in return. Julie and myself are blessed to be able to share our home with two of these adorable creations. Lucky and Ken as they are affectionately known have given us so much joy over that last two years and they arrived in our lives just at the right time too.
Lucky arrived first only a few weeks old after being abandoned by his mother probably because he was totally deaf. Unable to fend for himself and unable to detect danger due to his lack of hearing he wouldn't have lasted long out doors. That's why we christened him Lucky because he really is lucky to be alive. I came across him whilst out jogging one day after being alerted to his high pitched crying due to his hearing defect which in the event saved his life. The vet says the problem is with his inner ear which explains why he doesn't balance to well either. He arrived just before Julie left for a long visit to England and looking after him as a young kitten kept me busy whilst I was missing her.
We were introduced to Ken or J.F.K. as we call him which incidentally stands for Just Fat Ken He had been living in a huge cage at an animal charity shop and the owner should have let him go to a cat sanctuary but she suspected they were putting unhealthy cats to sleep and Ken was suffering from ear mites at the time. A good friend and fellow cat lover had paid for his medication and they were now seeking a new home for him. I like to think that he was just waiting for us to come for him and we took to the monster has he had been nicknamed as soon as we laid eyes on him.
Lucky has become rather attached to us so much in fact that he insist on sleeping with us at night. He actually slips under the covers and curls up between us often staying there all night especially in the winter time. Ken joins us too but he is quite content to sleep on top of the covers. They are two different personalities Ken being shy and cautious whilst lucky has two distinct states of being. Either fast asleep or running around like a wild thing apart from when he is eating whatever he can get his paws on. Julie and I believe that God can do anything himself but prefers to work through his creations including animals. Lucky and Ken came into our lives just when we needed them so maybe they really are furry angels.
