Successful People Face Their Fears and Act

Thursday morning Team One removed the Curso Maestro Reiki Revision from the next level... and their whole structure collapsed. No time for regrets, anger, frustration or feeling sorry for themselves. They packed, tamped and started an entirely different creation. The tall Scotsman also slid, so the team reshaped his shoulders to become his head. Can you imagine what they must have been thinking. Don't stop. Be creative. Stay focused on the goal.

The favorite this year was a Gypsy Fortune Teller, complete with missing teeth and a wart on her chin. On Friday morning, her creator arrived to find that a hose had been left on overnight behind his statue. Water had undermined the foundation. In another 15 minutes or less, the entire sculpture risked collapse - two hard days' work down the drain, so to speak. The artist had to spend the last few hours repacking and re-sculpting the gypsy's seat... instead of adding the cat he had planned to sit beside her.

To achieve success, you must persevere. Even Thomas Edison, great inventor that he was, learned this lesson well. It took thousands of experiments to create a successful incandescent light bulb. Do you have a dream, a vision of something you want to accomplish. Does it seem impossible, implausible or impractical. Stop telling yourself what you can't do, and focus on what you can do. Keep striving even when it becomes challenging. Consider each glitch as a lesson, an opportunity to learn and grow. Your victory will be sweeter because of the challenges you overcome.

Success is possible. So is failure. The difference is your commitment to never, ever quit. You see, it is much easier to get discouraged and give up than it is to persevere. Pity parties are easy, but they are usually attended alone. Victory celebrations can be shared with everyone, but they are only possible with effort. By the way, the Gypsy Lady No need to be like superman.
